An inclusive training aimed at psychological and health and social care professionals from any cultural-ethnic background to develop anti-oppressive skills and learn how to work better with issues that affect racialised and minoritised persons.

Course objectives:

  • Enhance self-awareness and encourage mentality change. 
  • Develop intercultural communication in clinical practice and supervision. 
  • Establish culturally inclusive trauma-informed practice.
  • Contribute towards generational change and healing. 

The ACIT approach™ is:

  • An integration of Afrikan-centred principles, philosophy and humility-focused thinking with various psychological schools of thought through a trauma-informed lens.
  • A personal and professional developmental skill, aimed to influence and adapt cultural-ethnic-racial mentalities, and develop trauma-informed cultural empathy, for healing, resilience and post-traumatic growth. 

Course logistics:

  • 4 months, 6 full weekends, 67 CPD hours
