Outline

This two-day intensive skills development workshop is designed for those who are experienced in the delivery of ACT, and who have previously attended introductory and intermediate level training. Numbers are strictly limited to 32 and the bulk of the workshop will be conducted in small supervised practice groups of eight, each group working with each of the four facilitators in turn. It will focus on the development of a range of skills in delivering ACT in a supervised practice situation.

Eligibility

This workshop will be most suited to professionals who have undertaken previous training courses in ACT, either at The University of Birmingham or elsewhere, and who use the approach regularly. The workshop facilitators will assume that delegates have a knowledge of the ACT model and the core ACT processes. Experience of using ACT in practice is essential.

Please also be aware that if you book onto two days or more, you will receive a free copy of the book ‘ACTivate Your Life’ by Joe Oliver, Eric Morris, and Jon Hill. More information on the book is available via Amazon.

This workshop forms part of Birmingham ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) week, which will be running this September 17th to 23rd. For more information go to www.birmingham.ac.uk/actweek
