This extensive professional accredited course will suit anyone who already has a basic understanding and experience of the counselling process and is looking to extend their knowledge and experience of working in the interesting, demanding, and fascinating world of couple counselling. It will build not only on your counselling knowledge in general, but also on the practical and theoretical aspects of working with the couple dynamic.

It will skill you to deliver couple counselling sessions which will help the couple to engage with and understand their contract, responsibilities, role, requirements, or goals, and making changes which work. Once completed, you will be suitably qualified to deliver these sessions, with robust supervision from a couple trained supervisor.

The core four days will give you proficiency in understanding;

  • couple dynamics
  • therapeutic bonding
  • holding the balance

  • couple fit
  • relationship styles
  • diversity and blended families
  • immediacy
  • perception and reality
  • communication
  • reflective practice
  • argument resolving

Lots of tools will be given to help you to help the couple to have a happy life. It also includes the fundamental understanding in couple work of how domestic violence can be identified and worked with safely in a couple contract.
