About these events
Private practice offers a number of benefits for therapists, both personally and professionally - getting it right, however, can take some time. Tom and Danielle have travelled the distance and managed to create thriving private practices within one year of qualifying as therapists. Six years on, and they want to share all they have learned, and pass on the gems and bombshells they wish they had known before setting off on the journey!
This workshop provides a realistic picture of the requirements to set up and maintain a successful private practice whilst being aware of some of the common setbacks practitioners face along the way.
Facilitated by Tom and Danielle, two qualified, BACP registered therapists managing busy practices. The workshops aim to integrate both anecdotal and formal tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your practice and avoid common setbacks. Tom and Danielle’s down to earth and informative training style helps to create an open environment for participants to learn, ask questions and share their experiences.
Past workshops
Want to hear what previous attendees thought of our workshops? Check below for reviews from our past workshop:
“This course surpassed my expectations as it covered such a wide range of topics and the additional material given to us was both substantial and detailed. I found the course on private practice both informative and accessible. It covered aspects I had not considered and included subjects I had been keen to get some clarification on. At the same time, both Tom and Danielle were very inclusive and welcomed our input. It was refreshing to see that their approach was fluid and non-fixed acknowledging scope for difference in both our individual circumstances / opinions as well as their own.”
“The two presenters were friendly, informative, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, well-prepared, articulate, very open about their own professional experiences (both good and bad) and were willing to answer the various questions that we attendees had.”
“The workshop exceeded my expectations. I really appreciated the detail you both went into and how open you both were in sharing your experiences, good and the slightly more challenging!”
“It was great to hear other people's progress and where they are in their journeys. Your presentations were brilliant and easy to understand. I found it really useful hearing your journey and the obstacles you tackled. All your hard work has definitely paid off. The workshop certainly met my expectations and more. It's good to know that I am not alone and that we have had similar experiences setting up private practice.”
