8-week mindfulness-based living course
The mindfulness-based living course, or MBLC, is an in-depth weekly mindfulness course consisting of eight classes, which are typically around two hours long and concluded by a follow-up class four weeks after the course ends. The course is suitable for people who are new to mindfulness as well as for those who would like to deepen their meditation or mindfulness practice.
Throughout the course, you will be taught progressive skills in mindfulness through presentations, guided practice, reflection, and periods of inquiry. There is a strong emphasis on experiential learning, and for this reason, there are weekly home assignments that include regular mindfulness practise, daily life exercises, and reflections all based on practices covered during each of the weekly session.
The course offered was developed by the Mindfulness Association in conjunction with the University of Aberdeen and is affiliated to the UK Network for 'Mindfulness-based teacher training' organisation. The teaching in this course adheres to the Mindfulness UK good practice guidelines.
The cost of the course is £200 and includes 18 hours of teaching time, access to audio recordings of all the main mindfulness practices, a detailed course manual (delivered electronically), and a certificate of completion. This session has a maximum of 10 places so early booking is advised.
The session will be from weekly from Saturday 7th March until 2nd May. Please note there will be a gap for the Easter weekend (11th April).
