16 week psychotherapy group at The School of Life
8 Northington Street
Chancery Lane / Holborn / King's Cross London
Group Psychotherapy provides an opportunity to work through your difficulties while learning about the way you relate to others and the different roles you adopt in group environments. Through this process you can develop a better understanding of yourself and others.
You might feel socially anxious and struggle to assert yourself or you might find that you tend to take the mediator or peacemakers role in your interactions. Perhaps you feel isolated, low in mood or struggle with stress and anxiety. You might experience relationship difficulties and wonder why relationships outside the group keep breaking down. Perhaps you feel a bit stuck in your life at the moment and you are not sure how to move forward, or you find it hard to share or feel intimate with others. All these issues can be addressed well in group therapy.
The group represents a microcosm of the wider world and provides opportunities to explore interpersonal issues in an experiential way in the "here and now" of the group environment. Dynamics that were first experienced in earlier areas of one's life can often get repeated and played out at work, social groups, friendships and intimate relationships. Through the relationships in the group, members often become aware of unhelpful behavioural patterns that might have blocked development. This is an opportunity to challenge unhelpful behaviours through awareness and understanding and experience healthier ways of relating.
The group will consist of up to eight members. For more information and to book an initial consultation please go to: https://www.theschooloflife.com/london/classroom/group-psychotherapy/
