About me

Hi, I'm Zoe.

I'm a gestalt therapist, blending the creative arts and bodywork into my practice in Shoreditch, E1.

Sometimes in life we come adrift from our inner knowing. We lose touch with our innate sense of what is right for us, and what does not meet our needs. Challenging circumstances can make this knowledge feel hard to access, but in fact it is always within us.

Sometimes life can cause us to lose touch with our innate sense of what is right for us, and what does not meet our needs. Challenging circumstances can make this knowledge feel hard to access. Good therapy helps lead us back to ourselves.

I work in an intuitive way, inviting you back into close contact with your personal power and embodied understanding. I collaborate with you, through moment-by-moment attention to what is alive in you, to restore your natural drive towards creative fulfilment. Through talking, creative expression and movement we support your recovery.

My initial training was in Gestalt therapy. I also use Focusing, a body-based way of working. I am trained and experienced in using the creative arts therapeutically, in a wide range of different media.

I specialise in working with actors and those in the creative arts. But if that isn’t you, don’t be put off. Whoever you are, the healing you seek is a deeply creative process, and if you would like to approach it in this spirit, I would love to accompany you on your journey. Give me a call or drop me an email.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Diploma in Gestalt Counselling
  • BFA Focusing Skills Certificate

After qualifying as a counsellor I worked at Central School of Speech and Drama, offering therapy mainly to actors, dancers, and movement practitioners. Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
