I am an empathetic and compassionate Intercultural Counsellor working with individual adults, youth & peer support groups from diverse background.
Therapy is your opportunity to explore whatever is important to you. During our time together, you are the focus of our sessions and you can bring whatever is concerning you. My clients come from many cultural and ethnic backgrounds seeking a safe, secure and non-judgmental space to resolve challenging issues. Mainly I'll listen to you in a confidential space we will work together to understand your situation more clearly to support you through life difficulties.
A clients main concern will be the focus during the session but other issues can be explored too. I have a special interest in diversity issues such as gender, identity, racism, culture and ethnicity but I also work with: Depression, Anxiety, Trauma and PTSD, Sexual- abuse, Self-harm, Bereavement, Transition - Challenging times, isolation, anger, mood disorder, personality disorder, ADHD in both adults and children, Self-esteem, Sleep issues/insomnia, Relationship issues, Employment and education and Spirituality.
I offer online counselling due the pandemic and limited places are available in my therapeutic Room in East Finchley (N2) which is easy to reach by bus 263, 102 or on the Northen underground line ( High Barnet branch)
Training, qualifications & experience
I have over 10 years’ experience working with communities and adults of diverse backgrounds. I have worked in the field of mental health for many years for educational and wellbeing charities supporting adults and children to overcome their problems. I work with adults, teenagers and children aged from 9 years upwards. I am trilingual and offer therapy in English, German and Kurmanci.
My expertise is an Intercultural approach embedding main therapeutic theories: person-centered, psychoanalyses, attachment styles and mindfulness which I will utilise depending on your presenting issue to support you. I regularly undertake training to stay updated regarding safeguarding, data protection, confidentiality and keeping up with the evolving environment.
I am a registered member of the BACP and I adhere to their ethical framework.
In order to meet your needs I continue to gain knowledge and experience through regular Supervision and Continuous Personal Development.
I am fully insured and registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) according to GDPR.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
