About me

I have over 7 years of counselling experience and have dealt with clients from all walks of life. I have experienced the grief and loss through the passing of my mother and other close family members where you question life and what it is all about. Coming through this, it taught me a lot about myself and others around me.

I found there is no timeline for grief, everyone has their own individual journey and that grief is not just about the loss of a loved one, but also about the loss of a relationship, loss of a job or a change in circumstances. I strongly believe that challenges life throws at you makes you grow, as you can learn something about yourself and become stronger.

My passion is to help people move forward, accept change, celebrate differences/uniqueness and always have hope for tomorrow along with a happy future. I know personally that life can be exhausting, challenging, noisy, busy and stressful. Therefore, our own personal wellbeing is forgotten as we focus our attention to others and forget about ourselves. In this very fast paced world where we are surrounded by social media, achieving and perfection; we are made to feel inadequate and not good enough. We forget who we are as an individual human being, what nourishes us and that we matter. We all deserve happiness.

Our Service

At MMOODS Counselling, we are a husband and wife team both holding the qualification of BA Hons in Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy. Between us, we have 13 years of experience within the Counselling field and we are registered members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

As a husband and wife team we present our counselling services in a safe, warm, non-judgemental, transparent, confidential and trustful environment. We strongly feel this instigates an ability within you to deal with any presenting issues that you may have.
We have worked with a diverse range of clients from differing backgrounds, cultures and age groups, ranging from children, young people and adults.

In relation to this; the way we work in our counselling practice enables you to explore your emotions and feelings along with working collaboratively to make sense of the world, make the right changes for you and even the acceptance of the things that you cannot change.

We look forward to being beside you as your counsellor while you reflect on growing, changing and empowering yourself to reach your full potential.
