Yvonne Drummond-Williams MBACP Therapist & Supervisor

I am a practicing Person Centred therapist and supervisor.
I enjoy working with children and young people to help them resolve some of their issues.
I am a firm believer, if we give young people time they will develop skills they can use to make the changes on how they view their feelings. In doing this I hope that they grow up, they will have the abilities to make their own choices and then make decision for themselves.
I also work with adults, who are having difficulties with Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, Substance abuse, to enable them to put strategies in place to help them cope with what may be happening in their relationships at home and their work place.
More recently I became aware of a need for counsellors who were trained to work with young people and their families who are experiencing difficulties at school and family life. So, I located Barnardos and asked if there such courses in existence. Long and short of it I undertook both courses. I am available for Barnados Link Work. I can also offer the specialised work in Adoption privately.
In general my clients come for therapy with a wide range of problems that they are looking on how to implement changes. Firstly they look for answers and solutions. However, they will learn that they are the best person to make all of the changes that they are asking for, of course I will be offering them confidentially and a safe place to explore. And I will be listening which they may not have had before.
