Yioda Harrison Counsellor/Psychotherapist (FPC/MBACP/UKCP)
I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, committed to offering a consistent, relaxed and confidential space for you to explore the issues which bring you to seek support at this point in your life. I see my clients once a week on an open ended basis or for a specified number of sessions depending on what suits each person best.
I have over 10 years experience working with people seeking support with the many challenges we may all face in day to day life; family/personal relationships, separation and divorce, bereavement, anxiety and depression, work stresses and unemployment. I also see clients who are not facing any particular crisis but come for therapy for support to understand why they feel unable to enjoy life to the full.
I understand how hard it can be to make the decision to contact a counsellor, so if you feel you might benefit from counselling or psychotherapy but are not sure, a telephone conversation will give you a chance to find out more and help you decide whether you would like to meet for an initial session.
So if you are looking for a counsellor or psychotherapist in St Albans or London please feel free to get in touch.
Training, qualifications & experience
After qualifying with a honours degree in Linguistic and International Studies, I began my working life as a housemother in a residential school for deaf children, went on to train as a primary school teacher, and later taught French and German in a large comprehensive school.
I then worked for a small charity for many years before training as a psychotherapist and counsellor.
I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice (WPF) and have now been seeing clients for just over 10 years.
