About me

I am Gen, a fully qualified, registered Humanistic-Existential Counsellor.

I work with a variety of issues, specialising in trauma, loss/bereavement, helping my clients to find purpose and live meaningful life.

Your life experiences may left you feeling anxious, lonely or isolated so now is the time to get some support; to help you find your strengths. It can be a great relief to share your worries and fears in confidence  without feeling judged or worried that you are burdening someone with your problems. You might believe that sharing your feelings with people who love and care for you would be too much for them or you worry that they’d judge you or see you differently.

My own multi-cultural background and my lived experience of adaptation and loss in different countries helps me to gain deeper insight into the ways that clients cope with difficult times like transitions, changes and loss. Throughout my life and different careers, I came to understanding that purpose and meaning of life continually evolve. As a result of my own experience, my passion is to help others to develop their full potential and discover a deeper sense of their purpose and meaning.
I help people to find acceptance and a meaningful way forward. I am here to encourage you on your journey to overcome a stressful period by providing a safe space where you can gain clarity. Working together in therapy I guide my clients to explore the source of their issue and help them to find solutions to overcome their problems.

In my private practice I work online through secure video platforms. I see clients for 50 minutes counselling sessions on a weekly basis. We can meet for short-term therapy to address specific issues or on a long-term basis for a deeper exploration of key issues and healing over time at a pace that’s comfortable for you. I believe that being your true self and living authentically can lead to a fulfilling and complete life.

If you are interested engaging in therapy with me, please get in touch via email, text message or phone call. I aim to respond to all queries within a few hours. You are welcome to book 20-minute initial online video meeting so we can assess if the way I work suits your needs.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
