About me

I am an Accredited Member of the BACP and currently work with Mind and NSFT delivering Counselling therapy to Adults and young people within the Wellbeing Service. Generally I work from hospital settings but am in surgery also in Norwich during the week.

I have experience of working with local charities in Norwich, and can bring a grounded experience to my therapy with clients.

Available to see Private clients on Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays at my home address. I can provide a comfortable setting and parking is available. Confidentiality and privacy are important to my clients and I work within the Ethical Guidelines of my Governing Body the BACP.

Please use the number above to text or call me with your enquiries.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have trained in Levels 1-4 in Person Centred Counselling at both City College Norwich and Great Yarmouth College, gaining my Diploma.

I gathered valuable experience working with local charities such as Mind Norwich, Under One Roof Norwich, and Sue Lambert Trust Norwich, to gain my counselling hours which permitted me to become a registered member with the BACP.

Further studies led to my BA Hons in Person Centred Counselling. Since graduating I have worked as a Counsellor for the Wellbeing Service.

In February 2018 I was awarded my Accreditation Certificate from the BACP.

I am currently working towards gaining my Post-Graduate Diploma in IPT- Interpersonal Therapy from Guildford University.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.
