About me

Hi! I offer a confidential, safe, non-judgmental and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

I believe in the power of therapy to foster personal growth, resilience, and well-being. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, bereavement, OCD, relationship or marital issues or simply want to explore self-worth, confidence, work on your self-esteem, etc my goal is to help you develop the tools and strategies to overcome obstacles and live a more fulfilling life.

I am fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi, offering multilingual counselling services so that you can feel heard, supported and understood in your own language.

DBS checked.

I have worked at Macmillan Cancer Support (Manchester Royal Infirmary) and Healthbox (GP referrals from Cheshire East and West) for the past 2 years and have been counselling a wide spectrum of clients dealing with a variety of issues from couple counselling to individual counselling.

I strive to create an honest and open environment where you can share your thoughts, feelings and issues without fear of judgment. I am known for being easy to talk to, friendly and trustworthy, and I am committed to helping you take the courageous first step towards a more fulfilling and happier life.

As an Integrative Counsellor, I work with various Therapeutic Approaches and tailor them according to each individual's requirements which include:

Person-Centred Therapy: A non-judgmental and supportive environment where you can explore your feelings and experiences.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): A practical approach to managing problems and behaviour by changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours.
Transactional Analysis: A method for understanding and improving your social interactions and communication with others and in relationships.

If you feel you need that one person who can understand you, make you feel heard and help you navigate through your issues and concerns, send me a message and lets start our journey now.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Psychology and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

My professional experience includes working with Macmillan Cancer Support and Healthbox, where I have supported individuals facing a wide range of challenges. These include obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), relationship issues, and providing counselling to cancer patients and their loved ones offering them support through their difficult journey and bereavement. Additionally, for the past 10 years I have had a vast experience of counselling domestic violence victims, fear of abandonment, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, marital issues and narcissism.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
