About me
Hello I'm Yanni, an HCPC registered clinical psychologist practicing in Edinburgh and online. I have over 14 year's experience working in mental health and addiction services within the NHS and Third Sector, and I currently work in private practice, with a specialist interest in trauma, PTSD and addictions. I also have extensive experience working with people experiencing problems including low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, unresolved grief and chronic stress. I offer evidence based psychological interventions using an integrative approach and will work with you to create a therapeutic plan based on your goals.
Specifically, my practice includes working with people experiencing problematic drug and alcohol use, as well as behavioural addictions such as workaholism, food, sex, pornography, gambling, shopping and content addictions. I also work with people suffering from PTSD and the effects of trauma, supporting their ability to cope with everyday life.
If you are feeling isolated and stuck with nowhere to turn, you don't have to struggle alone. If you would like to arrange a call with me, I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
