About me

Sometimes we find ourselves facing horrendous obstacles, or we feel overwhelmed by emotions (and don't always know why). Whatever may be troubling you, I can support you and work with you to find the strength to reach inner peace and to find your own way to move forward. Together we can explore your feelings and issues in a safe, caring, confidential and non-judgemental space.

Taking the first step to contact a counsellor can be a very daunting experience, I recognise that and will help you to feel secure. It is a step worth taking to feel the benefits of greater self-awareness and inner strength, reduced stress levels, improved communication, feeling better in yourself, and improved physical health, .

I have my own premises but I can also come to your home if travelling is difficult for you.

As a Therapeutic Counsellor I am open to learning and drawing on techniques from a variety of modalities, although my training focused on Psychodynamic and Person Centred approaches.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Bsc (Hons) Psychology with Educational Studies
  • Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training

I have worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds and ages, I previously volunteered as a Samaritan for two and a half years, spent six months at Iceni and was a counsellor for Age UK for a year and a half.

Additionally I have twenty years experience of working closely with children from toddlers through to young adults.

  • Member of Suffolk Association for Counsellors.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

These are a selection of issues people have brought to me in the past but you can come to me with anything that is troubling you. If I feel that I am not the best person to help you I will let you know and explain why.

I offer a free initial session in which we can talk broadly about what you feel is troubling you and how we could work together.

I am able to offer short or long-term therapy. Each session lasts 50 minutes and costs £35.
