ISometimes we feel overwhelmed by emotions and don't always know why. Whatever may be troubling you, I can support you and work with you to find the strength to reach inner peace and to find your own way to move forward. Together we can explore your feelings and issues in a safe, caring, confidential and non-judgemental space.
Taking the first step to contact a counsellor can be a very nerve racking experience, I recognise that and will help you to feel assured. It is a step worth taking to feel the benefits of reduced stress levels, improved communication, feeling better in yourself, improved physical health, greater self-awareness and a feeling of optimism.
I have my own premises but I can also come to your home if travelling is difficult for you.
As a Therapeutic Counsellor I am open to learning and drawing on techniques from a variety of modalities, although my training focused on Psychodynamic and Person Centred approaches.
I have worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds and ages, I previously volunteered as a Samaritan for two and a half years and was a counsellor for Age UK Surrey. I am currently volunteering at Iceni Ipswich.

Other areas of counselling I deal with
These are a selection of issues people have brought to me in the past but you can come to me with anything that is troubling you. If I feel that I am not the best person to help you I will let you know and explain why.
I offer a free initial telephone or email conversation in which we can talk broadly about what you feel is troubling you and how we could work together.
I am able to offer short or long-term therapy. Each session lasts 50 minutes and costs £35.
Please email me, or leave me a telephone message (stating a convenient time for me to call you back and whether you would like me to leave you a message) and I will get back to you.
My practice is located close to Rushmere Community Hub making it easily accessible by car or public transport and there is plenty of free parking available.
