About me
I am an Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, accredited by the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and I am based in Ayrshire. I work predominantly within a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach, but also draw on other modalities which allows me to support individuals in a holistic manner. I have extensive professional experience of working with vulnerable Children, Young People and Adults within Family Support and Youth Homelessness services as well as in private practice. In addition to this I work with Employee Assistance programmes and private insurance companies.
My aim is to work collaboratively with you to find the solutions that work for you, so that ultimately you can become your own therapist by applying new skills and techniques to old patterns of thinking and behaving.
I have experience of working with individuals presenting with a wide range of issues including:

· Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
· Substance Misuse
· Low Self Esteem
· Depression
· Trauma
I have experience in facilitating group work the following areas:

· Depression, Post Natal Depression
I also have experience of working with young people in a social care/residential settings.
I work in accordance with the Ethical Framework of The British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and have regular clinical supervision.
I am fully enabled to provide Skype, Zoom and Telephone sessions, these can be offered at reduced rates where appropriate.

British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK.
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists.
BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
