About me
Thanks for looking at my profile. Please note I am currently only able to work remotely via Zoom due to the pandemic.
I am a qualified and experienced therapist trained in integrative psychotherapy. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space and a confidential and supportive relationship where clients can work at their own pace to overcome their personal obstacles. My philosophy is that counselling and psychotherapy are not just about overcoming personal difficulty but are also about reaching personal potential and discovering the person that you were meant to be.

- BA in Counselling (with 1st class Honours)
- FdSc in Integrative Counselling (with Merit)
- Advanced Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy
- Diploma in Hypnotherapy
Approach:
I strongly believe that it is the relationship between counsellor and client that facilitates growth and healing and I strive to provide a safe, confidential and judgement-free environment where my clients can explore and unpack their problems and work towards the solutions they need. I believe that people repress and disassociate from parts of themselves (due to trauma, sadness, and the judgements of others) and that uncovering, accepting, and integrating these parts back into the self tends to lead people towards a more genuine sense of self and helps them to fully realise their potential as an individual. My training has been largely integrative meaning I utilise a wide variety of theories and approaches within my client work including: Jungian, Freudian and post-Freudian, Humanistic, and transactional analysis theory.
Throughout my training and post-qualification I have worked in a number of agencies and counselling settings and have worked with a wide variety of age-groups and presenting issues.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
