Will Brown. BSc (Hons), Dip Counselling, MBACP, NCS Accred.
Counselling provides an opportunity for you to be heard in a safe and confidential environment. Together we can explore your thoughts and feelings around present day challenges or events in your past and this in turn can lead to a better understanding of the issues and how they are affecting you. The process can assist in bringing about a shift in our perspective, an alternative to our often life-long patterns of behaviour.
Every journey begins with just one step and your search for support has brought you into this directory. I understand that lifting the phone can be difficult but you've made it this far and I will be only too happy to answer any questions you might have about the process. If I am engaged or otherwise unable to take your call, please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
I can offer sessions in either Holywood or Donaghadee, both being peaceful, safe and non-judgemental settings where we will work at your pace. Remote sessions eg via Zoom, are also possible. Remember this is your process, and we will work collaboratively and with regular reviews to ensure that the process is working as well as possible for you. As a guide, clients usually avail of 6 sessions initially, at which point we can review the work and consider how you would like to proceed.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
