Whether or not you are feeling overwhelmed or anxious with work or your personal life or if relationship issues are getting you down. Then counselling can provide you with a safe space to explore your feelings, reduce anxiety/panic and build your own coping strategies', self confidence and self esteem to move forward into the life that you desire with confidence.

I will also work with you to treat acute anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder,  PTSD, trauma, depression/low mood, binge eating/ over eating, OCD and a variety of other presentations.

I am a qualified Integrative and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with 12 years experience working in a variety of Counselling/Therapeutic settings within the NHS, charities and public sector organisations. I am also a Practitioner Member of COSCA, registered member of BACP and  a member of BABCP.

I offer psychotherapy in the form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Integrative Counselling sessions in Glasgow West End G3 and Coatbridge ML5.  (Please see below for Transport Links)

I am also a qualified Online Counselling and CBT therapist. Online Counselling can offer you flexibility when face to face sessions are not suitable, the written word in a therapeutic medium that has been proven to be a powerful tool in assisting self change.

Although I am qualified and practice Psychology and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, I am also qualified in Mindfulness and Bereavement and Loss. I am constantly building my knowledge and am an active member of the BABCP & BACP, attending many CBT learning events per year in order to keep up to date with specific approaches to counselling and of course to learn new skills which become very helpful in therapy in order to offer YOU the best therapy, taylor made for YOU, to suit YOUR needs.

During my work in the public sector I wrote, developed, delivered and facilitated several therapeutic and psycho educational groups on addictions, bereavement and loss, general anxiety disorder and low mood/depression. I continually develop this work and will be offering a variety of therapeutic groups in the near future. SEE BELOW FOR FORTHCOMING GROUPS!

My background prior to qualifying as a CBT Therapist is in Psychology where I worked in residential children's units, secure units for teenagers and supported accomodation for adults with learning difficulties and behavioural issues. Since then I have focussed on adult mental health issues such as Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety Disorders, Panic disorder, Depression, Relationship issues, Family issues, Low self esteem, Confidence issues, Phobias, Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), self harm, addictions and bereavement.

I am passionate about working with my clients in order for them to understand and overcome life's issues, get back on track, re-claim their focus, self esteem and confidence whist managing and overcoming a variety of mental health issues.

We live in such a fast pace modern society, with so many expectations in work and our personal lives that are sometimes stressful and even unachievable, this itself can lead to feelings of sadness, loneliness, inadequacy, low self esteem and confidence issues. Anxiety is now present in most peoples lives and can sometimes be crippling and begin to effect the other parts in our lives such as relationships and work performance.

My aim is always to use a practical approach to your issues whist we explore and understand the reasons for these and then create plans to work towards your more desirable goals, facilitating YOUR effective and positive changes that will allow YOU to fully reach your potential, regain control and find the balance that YOU want. Within this approach the reduction of anxiety and depression can be achieved and self esteem and confidence raised.

I also offer online 1:1 face to face CBT/Counselling via SKYPE if Glasgow/ Coatbridge is not suitable or you just prefer to be in your own home for counselling.
