Wendy Graystone MBACP
There may be times in your life when you need to speak to someone about a challenge or a change which is concerning you. Sometimes even family or friends might not seem to be the right option in the circumstances. You may not wish to burden them with your problem, or worry that their response could be negative. In such situations, counselling can provide a safe alternative.
I can offer a calm, private space in which to reflect upon your situation and to explore your emotional responses to it. I work predominantly from a person-centred approach, whilst also drawing from my knowledge and experience in other approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This allows me to hear your story in a non-judgemental way, being guided by what is most important to you at the time. In addition, I hope to help you to understand your thinking patterns in order that you may use this understanding to approach current and new challenges.
