Wendy Bower (Ad Dip PC)
I know from experience that counselling can be both empowering, and life changing. It is a privilege and a passion to work at depth with clients and to be part of their unique journey towards wholeness.
I draw upon a number of different models of counselling, using what best fits you, the client, and your needs. Predominantly however, I use Person Centred Therapy (PCT) and aim to provide a warm, gentle, confidential and non-judgemental space in which we can explore together your inner thoughts and emotions. This non-directive support can enable you to gain new insights and implement desired changes.
As a Counsellor my role is not to provide you with answers, but to use all my skills, experience and knowledge to support and empower you in reaching your own understanding and finding your own direction.

My counselling fees are £45 per session, including the initial consultation. Payment is due at the start of each session by debit card or cash. Appointments not attended (with less than 48 hours notice) incur the full fee. I review my fees annually.
I see individual adults of all race, gender, orientation and faith in one-to-one sessions.
New clients are asked to attend an initial consultation. This enables us to get a feel as to whether we are a good "fit" for working together, and if so, we would then decide upon the approximate number of sessions before reviewing the process. Once we have agreed to work together each of us would sign a client contract. Each session lasts 50 minutes and sessions are usually held at the same time each week.
My private practice is easily accessible by public transport and there is plenty of available roadside parking.
