I am a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and a registered member. I have worked as a counsellor in a wide variety of settings, from third sector to private practice.
As a Person-Centred counsellor, my approach is focused around establishing a safe relationship that is nurturing, honest, non-judgemental, empathic and kind. It is within this space where clients are able to express themselves, or explore issues, thoughts and experiences in the here and now, or in the past.
Whether a client is feeling overwhelmed, experiencing anxiety or a mix of emotions, or the need to explore or express thoughts or feelings - by working together, we are able to achieve the clarity and courage to challenge whatever life may bring.
I have experience of working with a wide range of people, including different backgrounds, ages, cultures and identities, particularly with addiction, self-harm, suicidal feelings and trauma (in all its forms).
