About me
Are Shame and Self-Doubt Affecting Your Relationships?
Do you find yourself feeling unworthy or disconnected in your relationships? Are patterns of self-criticism or fear of vulnerability holding you back from deeper, more meaningful connections? You’re not alone and don’t have to face these challenges alone.
I am a therapist who specialises in helping people navigate the impact of shame and self-doubt in their relationships. Together, we can uncover the roots of these struggles and work toward building confidence, connection, and fulfilling relationships.
My Approach
In our sessions, I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can openly explore all feelings and experiences without shame. My work is tailored to meet your unique needs.
Here’s how I can help:
Transforming Shame into Self-Compassion: Together, we’ll explore the patterns of self-criticism and fear that keep you stuck. By gently examining how your past experiences influence your present relationships, you’ll develop the tools to replace shame with kindness and confidence. Our work will foster a sense of self-worth and empower you to approach yourself—and your relationships—with greater understanding and care.
Heal Relationship Wounds: Whether it’s difficulty trusting, fear of rejection, or recurring conflict, we’ll work through the barriers preventing closeness in your relationships.
Build Stronger Connections: Gain practical skills to improve communication, express your needs, and foster healthy, fulfilling relationships—with yourself and others.
Who I Work With
I specialise in working with individuals who struggle with:
-Persistent feelings of shame or inadequacy.
-Fear of vulnerability or intimacy in relationships.
-Recurring conflict, withdrawal, or disconnection in partnerships.
-Self-doubt impacts friendships, family, and romantic relationships.
-A desire to break free from negative relational patterns and build trust.
What to Expect
Our work together will focus on creating lasting change. You’ll develop the tools and insights to:
-Understand the roots of shame and self-doubt and how they affect your relationships.
-Rebuild trust in yourself and your ability to connect meaningfully.
-Nurture relationships that align with your values and bring you joy.
Experience
With more than a decade working in the prison setting and over five years of experience in bereavement therapy, I’ve supported individuals through some of life’s most profound challenges. My work has given me unique insight into the complexities of shame, grief, self-sabotage and disconnection—and how these can shape our relationships and sense of self.
Whether you’re struggling with low self-worth or anxiety or desire a meaningful transformation, I offer space to explore your experiences and move forward with clarity and confidence.
Ongoing Learning
I am completing my certification in Hypnotherapy, which I look forward to incorporating into my work. I believe in continuous learning, which informs my client's work.
Let’s Work Together
I'm here to support you if you’re ready to create deeper, healthier, and more fulfilling connections. Change is possible, and it begins with taking the first step.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a BACP Registered Therapist with over ten years of experience offering Integrative and Bereavement Counselling.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
