About me
Many years ago I made a decision to become a Psychotherapist after having a good experience of therapy myself. After an intensive five year training programme in Transactional Analysis (TA) with a psychotherapy specialty, I am committed to providing psychotherapy and counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment in Falmouth, where people can discuss their problems and difficulties and decide what they want to change or consider how to cope with the things they can’t.
People seek counselling or psychotherapy for many reasons; sometimes life can be confusing and frustrating, it can feel pointless or scary. They may be experiencing difficult times in their lives or feelings of anxiety, depression or stuck in situations that feel beyond their control. They may be troubled by past experiences or feelings of being unable to cope. Some people enter into therapy because they simply feel unhappy in themselves or puzzled by life.
As an experienced practitioner I believe that we all have the capacity to enjoy good mental health and well-being. I am confident and experienced in working with a broad spectrum of presenting issues and feel privileged to have worked with many clients on a short term and long term basis depending on their individual needs.
However big or small your problems are, exploring them with a trained therapist can assist you in developing options for change and moving forward in a way that changes or enhances your life. I am here to help you feel better in how you live your life.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have an Advanced Diploma in Transactional Analysis with a Psychotherapy specialty.
I am a registered member of the BACP and member of UKATA and adhere to the ethical frameworks of these organisations
I am committed to ongoing professional development and as such, I am currently working towards taking my Certified Transactional Analyst exam and registration with UKCP.
I take regular supervision with a highly experienced UKCP registered TA supervisor as required by BACP and other regulating bodies.
I am fully insured.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

My office is based in Falmouth with parking close by. It is 5 mins walk from Falmouth Moor and only 3 mins walk from the bus stop for the main routes between Falmouth - Penryn Campus - Truro, Camborne and Penzance.
