About me

A qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, providing a non-judgmental and empathetic service. My model of counselling is integrative, drawing on components from Psychodynamic Theory and Humanistic Theory. I am trained and experienced in working with both adults and young people.

Training, qualifications & experience

For 7 years I worked for CXK Ltd, here I worked with young people aged between 12 and 18 on a one-to-one basis offering Emotional Support Sessions for 8 weeks each in a variety of Kent based schools.

For over 2 years I have worked in a voluntary capacity offering Counselling to Carers through a local carers agency in London.

I am currently working with a variety of private clients offering online and telephone therapy following obtaining my Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

The combination of my own life experiences and my work life have given me a wealth of experience that has developed my understanding of how individuals may feel in the world we live in. I believe we are the experts of our own lives but sometimes we allow past events or influences of our environments to alter our true self. I offer a safe environment to provide a listening ear and to empower you to explore your inner self and to encourage you to get to where you want to be.

I believe we are all experts in our own lives, my role is to facilitate the exploration of your feelings and to support you in working towards any changes that you have decided you would like to make. I understand that you may not know what support you need, what changes you want to happen or why you are feeling the way you do. My role is to listen and help you understand why you have those questions and if possible, help you answer them. Therapy is not a quick fix however I would like to think that the work I do with my clients allows them for 50 minutes each week to feel that those waves have subsided in the time they are with me and I can help you empower yourself to face the week ahead.
