About me

**Please note I am taking Telephone Appointments**

Hi, I am an experienced Health Psychologist - I help people with physical health problems and emotional stress. I apply health psychology models combined with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Compassion and Acceptance based approaches, to provide a unique and effective therapy experience. The main type of therapy I use is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

I will work with you on a 1-2-1 basis to improve your wellbeing and emotional health to enable you to live and enriched and full life. I am very passionate about helping people adjust to illness diagnosis and treatment.

The approach I take is a very active form of skills and building behaviour therapy - I will work with you to ensure behaviour change and to help you move forward.

I help my clients with many concerns which are not limited to:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Stress
  • Trauma
  • Sleep problems
  • Low confidence
  • Long term conditions e.g. Chronic pain, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Cancer and      diabetes.
  • Adherence to medication and self-management programmes
  • Adjustment to illness diagnosis and treatment
  • Lifestyle choices e.g. Smoking, alcohol and physical activity

I can help with pain related trauma, stress, sleep problems and lifestyle choices.
