I set up, and work as a therapist at The Lighthouse, a counselling service in Lightwater. This is a service offering therapy on a sliding scale of personal income in order to make it affordable to all that require it.
Through the work that we do together my role is to assist you in making the best decisions for your life. As a therapist I see my role as a very privileged facilitator in working with you to achieve your goals. I have worked with people with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relationship issues, and stress. However, I primarily I regard the people that I work with as unique individuals with unique needs. So I will work with whatever you bring that is of significance to you. I work integratively, and predominantly draw upon the Psychodynamic and Person-Centered approaches.
If you are wondering if counselling might be for you I would welcome you to book an initial consultation. There will be no expectation from this for you to commit to counselling, but instead an opportunity to hear more about how I work. This will give you a good idea as to whether counselling at The Lighthouse is something you would like to pursue.

The fees are based on a sliding scale in order to make it as affordable as possible.
Fees are scaled according to personal gross annual income. Gross income includes any income before taxes are taken off, and are scaled as follows:
Income up to £18,000: £20 per session
Income from £18,000 - £25,000: £25 per session
Income from £25,000 - £35,000: £35 per session
Income from £35,000 - £45,000: £45 per session
Income over £45,000: £50 per session
If you have no personal income fees can be based on household income.
Within this scaling system there is some flexibility owing to exceptional circumstances.
