About me
I am an accredited therapist working with both individuals and couples, and have a passion for helping people navigate their way through difficult points in their lives. It could be you are looking for help around the issues of emotional abuse, family estrangement, low self-esteem, or you have lost a loved one to suicide. Or maybe you feel you need help to unpack life events that have left you feeling lost and lonely.
I also have a keen interest in providing therapy for people who have had previous negative experiences in therapy (I have been through this myself!) as well as working with people who are practicing as therapists themselves .
I provide a completely confidential, non-judgmental and understanding space. I offer both long term and short term therapy.
I am very passionate about helping people understand more about themselves and make the changes they want to see in their lives; whether this be to build self-esteem after experiencing emotional abuse, move on after a relationship breakdown, or feel less heartbroken after the loss of a loved one.
My Qualifications and Work History
I hold a Master's of Science degree in Therapeutic Counselling; this training means I have undergone extensive academic study as well as clinical supervised practice before I was given the "go ahead" to practice as a Counsellor/Therapist.
Before becoming a therapist I worked in mental health crisis for the NHS. I loved this work but found myself wanted to spend more one on one time with the service users, hearing their stories, which led to me venturing into counselling training. Going even further back, in my twenties I lived overseas as an expat, meaning I understand what it feels like to be alone in a foreign country.
No matter what you are coming to therapy with, I guarantee you will be met with warmth and compassion.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
