About me

I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, with availability starting now for zoom and telephone sessions. I currently work as a talking therapist for the NHS, as well as in private practice.  I have experience in helping others with a variety of issues, however have a special interest in relationship issues, low self-esteeem and bereavement.

I follow the integrative style of therapy, meaning I draw upon a range of modalities to suit you. I guarantee that whatever has brought you to counselling, you will be met with warmth and compassion.

If you are interested in working with me, please call or text on  07306350249 or email me on victoriajeffriestherapy@gmail.com  we can then arrange your free free initial consultation.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Masters of Science in Therapeutic Counselling (Level 7), as well as a Bachelor's degree in Counselling (Level 6). I also have over ten years experience working in mental health, for the NHS as well as charities.

I currently work for an NHS Counselling service,  and while I love this work, there are various restrictions that working for such an organisation involves (for example there is a limit to how may session a therapist can offer).  I decided to branch out into private practice so I can work in a more open, less restricted way.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
