About me

Thank you for visiting my profile. I’m Victoria, a specialist Child & Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I work with children and teenagers aged 4-18. Growing up can be so hard and life can throw many challenges at our youngsters. I support young people through issues such as bereavement, family breakdown, abuse, trauma and emotional or behavioural difficulties. Previously a primary school teacher and Special Educational Needs coordinator, I have 18 years’ experience in supporting young people and their families.

I provide a non-judgemental space where young people can explore their emotions and express them safely. My practise is rooted in play, art and creativity- all wonderful metaphors through which children can naturally express their inner world. I offer adolescents a wide variety of approaches such as talk therapy, art therapy, imagery and sandtray therapy.

The positive relationship I build between myself and my clients is at the very heart of my work - it’s so important that you and your child feel totally comfortable with your therapist. I offer a free initial chat and a half price initial session so that you can get a feel for the support I can offer. I look forward to hearing from you!

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
