About me

I attended the University of Aberdeen where I completed my Masters in Psychology (MA Psych (Hons)). After my graduation, I was fortunate to start work immediately with a national charity which provided me with fantastic opportunities in Scotland, Oxford and London. Later I worked for a Scottish charity that specialised in Carers, Young Carers, and Children & Family Therapy.

In 2014 I decided to make the most of living in beautiful Shropshire and started a practice in Condover and Solihull offering psychotherapy, counselling and hypnotherapy in the Shrewsbury and Birmingham areas.

When I'm not working my hobbies include walking my dog, photography (including terrible holiday photos), travelling, doing a spot of design, writing fiction and children's stories, and the odd box set binge!

As a psychotherapeutic counsellor I take a relaxed approach, utilising various therapeutic styles and approaches to best meet the needs of my clients. When you first come to see me I will carry out an initial consultation. During this session, which takes around one hour, I will ask you a little about what you are looking for help with and how that problem is effecting your everyday life. I will them go on to ask you for a brief overview of any therapies you have had in the past, a short history of your family and domestic life and a little about your work life. It is in this session we can discuss the best way for you to move forward and to achieve your goals.

I am a fully qualified psychotheraputic counsellor and hypnotherapist but I believe in expanding my knowledge so, I continue to attend CPD and courses across the country.

Further information

“I believe that everyone is exceptional and I enjoy helping my clients make the changes they want to maximise their quality of life. At my practice we will work together to challenge your beliefs, reframe your experiences and lead you towards a more rewarding life. Have a think about it, how would you like to feel differently? What is it that would you like to let go of? What’s the goal that you would like to achieve that perhaps you haven’t even admitted to yourself yet? The only limits are what you believe to be possible."

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

Wheelchair user access

We have wheelchair access and toilet facilities at the Solihull Wellbeing Clinic. At my Condover clinic I have ramps for access. If full wheelchair accessible facilities are required this can be arranged in the Shrewsbury area.
