About me

I am a trained and accredited doctor within the field of Clinical Psychology. I have been providing therapy and psychological interventions in a clinical setting for the past 25 years. I have held numerous Clinical Psychology posts including the Lead of a service prior to entering private practice full time. During this time, I have worked with individuals to help them to alleviate distress, develop an increased understanding and awareness of themselves and to lead a more meaningful life.

I aim to provide a confidential, professional and welcoming service founded upon my knowledge that has been accumulated from my specialist training and my skills that are drawn from my experience of providing therapy for the last 25 years. This is paired with providing a non-judgemental, containing environment where trust and compassion can be valued and developed. Seeking support and guidance is a common part of being human and is sometimes needed to overcome difficulties. Whether the purpose of therapy is learning more about yourself and your circumstances through personal discovery, gaining strategies to help with change or a different intention entirely, we can work collaboratively towards providing and experiencing wellbeing.

In addition to mental health, due to demand, Sutton Coldfield Counselling has recently developed a sister company, West Midlands Autism and ADHD Assessment Service (WMAAAS).  We provide fully comprehensive assessments and reports that are certified as adhering to the current NICE guidelines.  Please see www.wmaaas.co.uk for further information regarding neurodiversity.

My service is located in private, discrete rooms in Sutton Coldfield. It is situated on local bus routes and there is ample free parking.

I am fully insured, a member of my professional body (HCPC) and receive regular supervision for my practice.
