About me

Hello, I’m Vikki, an accredited Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor with over 30 years of experience. I can support you in challenging old, unhelpful patterns and beliefs, and learning new ways to live your life in a more fulfilling way. Thank you for checking my profile.

I am a qualified Integrative and Transactional Analysis Psychotherapist and counsellor, a HCPC registered Arts Therapist – Dramatherapist and also a qualified mental health nurse, (NMC registered). This has provided me with a breadth and depth of experience in mental health and emotional wellbeing settings over my career, I am able to draw from these to tailor them to your individual needs. I continually update my skills and knowledge and undertake training opportunities to support you more effectively. I am creative in approach so am able to offer a variety of methods - such as dramatherapy - when there is something you prefer not to or are unable to articulate.

If you are reading this you or a loved one may be experiencing difficult emotions or a challenging phase of your life, as we all do periodically. Having the courage to open up and talk about yourself and your difficulties can be challenging, but seeking support through therapy can help you; both to learn more about yourself and how you interact with the world and to enable you to gain more understanding of your experiences. Having had personal therapy myself during my psychotherapy training, I understand both the challenge and the reward of this.

I am an experienced therapist offering a confidential and safe space where I will work with you to discover more about yourself and the areas in your life you are finding difficult. I appreciate it can be difficult to talk about your emotions, thoughts and experiences with someone new, however, I am non-judgemental, supportive and wish to provide a safe place for you to explore and share your experiences, relationships, thoughts and feelings. Together we can explore those you may wish to bring out of the shadows, reframe and challenge; and equally, those that require recognition and celebration that nurture your growth and positively affirm your unique personality, emotional health and resilience. Therapy aims to increase awareness of how these may impact you and your life, with the goal of maximising your emotional wellbeing and mental health. The experience can be difficult and emotional but can also be joyful and at times even humorous.

I offer an initial free no obligation 20 minute telephone consultation to discuss your requirements and therapy options, as the quality of the therapeutic relationship is key to feeling safe, supported and connected. I look forward to working with you.
