Vicky Harrison, MBACP,BA, Dip Couns, Dip Child/Adolescent Couns
As an experienced integrative Counsellor/Lecturer/Trainer and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I offer you acceptance, understanding, skills and experience gained over many years of working in Education, the NHS, with Social Care providers and charitable organisations.
Whether you are reading my profile for yourself or as, or on behalf of a young person I offer a warm, welcoming, confidential safe space in which to explore issues that you may find troubling or you are struggling to cope with. Whatever you’re experiencing together we can build a working relationship that addresses your needs, at a pace and within a learning style that suits you best. I will support you to find the strength within yourself to progress.
I would like to make a few suggestions, it might help you get a clearer picture of what you feel you may need.
You may feel that Freedom From personal development and emotional wellbeing sessions would suit your needs; this is particularly aimed at those who are feeling, anxious, stressed or overwhelmed.
For young people, but not exclusively, Building Resilience personal development sessions may best suit your needs. Maybe you are lacking in confidence, have a low self-worth or self-belief and are wanting to be able to cope and communicate more effectively with life’s challenges.
Sometimes life events stop us in our tracks, unbalance us and make us feel detached from the rest of the world and those around us resulting in a low mood. Often the simplest of tasks become almost impossible and leave us feeling unsure, isolated, undervalued and lost as to how to get back on track. If this describes how you are feeling then hourly face to face evidence-based Counselling within an unlimited time frame may suit you best.
In reading this profile you are making the first move in addressing something that upsets you, prevents you from living life fully or stops you doing the things you really want to do. You may recognise that bottling something up or trying to ignore it is pulling you down further and you need to share it with someone who can work with you in a non-judgmental and accepting way. This may be something that you have lived with for many years is recent or maybe it’s something that you feel may have an impact on you future.
