About me

My name is Vicki, and I am a fully qualified person-centred counsellor. I have experience working with general counselling and specifically with bereavement.

Talking to someone about how we feel can have a significant impact on our lives. It is a brave step to consider counselling, so thank you for taking the time to consider doing so with me. As a person-centred counsellor, I believe we are the expert on ourselves and as individuals, are all unique.

I will offer you a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to share what's troubling you, being by your side as I help you work through your difficulties, to move you forward to a happier and more fulfilling life.

Receiving counselling in the past inspired me to become a counsellor myself. Being valued, heard and given an opportunity to understand myself has been life-changing. I am here to offer others the same support that I have so gratefully received.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Psychotherapists and Counsellors (BACP) and I adhere to their Ethical Framework in my practice.  I am a bereavement counsellor and currently volunteer for a bereavement service within our local hospice.

Please feel free to contact me to arrange a free half-hour session, where we can chat and for you to decide if I'd be the right person for you.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
