Vanessa Browell NCS Accredited Practitoner, Integrative Counsellor/Supervisor
I am an Accredited Counsellor and Supervisor. I offer confidential, professional counselling for all types of issues including, anxiety, distress, loss and visual impairment. My practice is in St Albans not far from the centre and the main line station. I am an integrative Counsellor working in a non judgmental environment with clients of all ages for long and short term therapy.
We all experience difficulties and distress that can leave us feeling overwhelmed, confused, anxious, depressed, isolated, lost and sad. It is often difficult to talk about these many difficult issues with those who are close in fear of worrying them with your thoughts. I will give you the opportunity to express what is troubling you in a safe and confidential environment.
I work in an integrative way, which means that I offer the style of therapy that suits you. Through this process you will find a greater understanding of the issues that are affecting you and how you wish to deal with them, giving you increased self esteem and self awareness and new ways to move forward, but working a pace which is right for you.
If you are unfamiliar with counselling, it may feel quite daunting, I therefore encourage an initial consultation so we can meet before any future decision is made. In this initial session you will have the opportunity to tell me what is distressing you and ask any questions that you may have. I will also explain more about how I work. If you would then like to arrange future sessions these would normally be on a weekly basis at an agreed time.
Please contact me with any further questions that you may have.
