I aim to provide a welcoming space where clients feel comfortable and safe to explore ideas and feelings. During the first phone call or Email I ask about the main issue(s) an individual may wish to discuss and /or changes they would like to make. We then arrange a convenient time for the first session to start to explore issues and choices.
Weekly sessions are by Zoom or telephone for 50 minutes.
Sessions are available during the daytime and evenings. The cost is £45 per session.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered member of BACP, I have the Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
I have a wide experience of working with clients in GP surgeries and the voluntary sector and I can offer short term as well as long term therapy. I work with adults of all ages with issues such as anxiety, depression, relationships, work related issues, loss, health related issues, trauma, obsessions. identity, and finding meaning.
I have trained in several approaches and adapt my way of working to the needs of each individual. I have also undergone my own extensive therapy and I believe it is important for therapists to do so.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
