Whether it be a small voice inside you saying there is a different way of seeing your life or whether raw emotion or numbness are the spark for you to take the first step to seeking help beyond your present experience, I offer a warm and supportive space where you will be listened to in confidence and without judgement.
I am a member of BACP with over 25 years of counselling experience through my private practice. I worked with different organisations, such as Penny Brohn (counselling for those experiencing cancer), Marie Stopes International (pregnancy and abortion) and Cruse Bereavement Care (as counseller and supervisor). I also run Relaxation and Meditation groups and support Creative Art and Writing Bereavement groups.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have over 25 years experience of assisting people going through difficult times.
I am a qualified counsellor and have completed my FdSc. in counselling. I am a fully registered member of BACP.
I have a private practice working with young people and adults around very varied issues including difficulties within relationships, low self esteem, depression, abuse issues, bereavement, pregnancy issues and terminal illness.
I have worked as a counseller at Penny Brohn UK, for supporting people experiencing cancer, Marie Stopes International, supporting women around relationship issues, pregnancy and abortion and was at Cruse Bereavement Care, which included being a counsellor and supervisor.
I also facilitate Relaxation and meditation groupsI and am supporting counsellor working with SIL (Shadow into Light) which assists bereaved people through the medium of Creative Art and Writing.
I have also furthered my learning through CPD trainings, which have included a variety of issues around relationship in work and daily life, pregnancy, anger management, self harm, suicide, terminal illness, depression, addiction, mental health, emotional physical and sexual abuse, loss and bereavement.ounselling bereaved people, becoming a Cruse Bereavement supervisor and I assisted with teaching new volunteer counsellors.
I worked at Marie Stopes International for 5 years as a telephone and face to face counsellor, which included client's concerns around abortion, pregnancy, abuse, self esteem and difficulties in relationships.
I also have over 20 years experience running non denominational meditation and relaxation classes which benefits my client work
