Hello, welcome to my profile. I am an experienced counsellor and I have been working in Private Practice for the last 4 years. Prior to this I worked in the NHS for 15 Years. I am here to help you with any emotional issues you are experiencing. I am non-judgemental, empathic and positive and would be happy to help you find solutions.
I offer a safe and confidential service in which we can discuss and explore the distress caused by the difficulties that you are currently experiencing or the problems you are facing in life. In particular I can help you process the impact of the pandemic on your life. Whatever issues you are struggling with, it is my aim to help you find a way to gain insight and to manage your life with a renewed sense of energy and optimism.
Some people need to use the counselling space to work through difficult and painful events and feelings, others might favour a more problem-solving approach to say a current work issue that is causing anxiety/depression or some might like to look at the past in order to make sense of the impact it has on the present. I work with grief issues and have trained as a bereavement counsellor. You may have relationship issues that you want help with.
I have successfully helped clients through a wide range of issues, including: low self-esteem (often the cause of depression and/or anxiety); impact of bereavement/grief (human or pet); relationship difficulties, divorce/separation, work stress, bullying/harassment; impact of negative childhood issues including abuse, punishment, criticism, rejection, neglect etc/
grief/loss, panic/anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder(PTSD)- recent incident.
I can also provide tools and coping strategies that will assist you in the process of making positive changes if needed, using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Making an Enquiry
To arrange an initial consultation you can email, text or make a phone call (07961 512364). I have an answer phone, where you can leave a private message giving me times when you will be available for me to return your call.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
