About me

How can I help?

Welcome to my page, I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, employed as a University Counsellor in addition to working in Private Practice, providing psychotherapeutic support to a diverse client group. I have over 10 years experience of working with vulnerable individuals from diverse backgrounds, within the capacities of mentoring, tutoring and psychotherapy and counselling. I am dedicated to offering professional therapeutic support, I work with people from all walks of life, being culturally sensitive; valuing the psychological, emotional, spiritual and social aspects which shape your beliefs and behaviors.

Integrative therapy combines different therapeutic tools and approaches to fit the needs of an individual client, being a flexible and inclusive approach. I work with existential themes, focusing on concepts that are universally applicable to all human existence, including but not exclusive to; choice, freedom, death, loss, responsibility and purposefulness in life.

I aim to assist you to face your problems, by; exploring your thoughts, to encourage healing, raise your self awareness, encourage self-sufficiency, supporting freedom of choice and change. I would describe myself as relational which emphasizes on the relationship between myself and my client. I work in a caring, empathetic, non-judgmental and genuine way encouraging shared dialogue.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
