About me

Admitting that we need a counsellor can seem a bit daunting, but there are times when it helps to have someone to talk to to enable us to make sense of our thoughts, feelings and circumstances. I started Counsellor training because people were coming to me to talk things over. Now, over twenty five years later I am still enthusiastic about helping others.

As a counsellor and psychotherapist working with a range of issues I am able to offer you a confidential space to talk through your concerns. I am pleased to work with both individuals and couples for a range of issues including bereavement and loss, abuse, low self esteem, emotional distress, relationship difficulties and spiritual concerns.

As a counselling trainer I have knowledge of a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including Psychodynamic, Person-Centred and Cognitive Behavoural. I do believe that our past affects our present but I also firmly believe that change is possible and that we can learn new ways of managing life so that it becomes more meaningful and fulfilling. I work Integratively which means that I can draw on my wide knowledge of the different approaches to work in a way that best suits you.

I am a Senior Accredited member of BACP and I work in accordance with their Ethical Framework.
