About us

Transform Counselling Services (TCS) offer a range of therapies to meet the needs of people in and surrounding the Nottingham area. These services include; one to one counselling, couples/group counselling, emotionally focused play sessions, and issue related workshops.

Our aim is to support people of all ages in a process to improve their emotional well-being and to preserve their mental health. Your relationship with your Counsellor is a professional relationship that can help by providing individual(s) with a growth-promoting environment; someone who can listen, is empathic, is non-judgemental, is genuine and trust worthy.

Transform Counselling Services C.I.C. Nottingham is proud to be one of the only local counselling services to bring these services right onto the doorstep of your community, by offering a mobile service to local businesses in and around the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire areas.

Our Counsellors offer friendly confidential help and advice for referrals on all aspects of personal and business counselling including depression; anxiety; general mental state; relationships including family groups; abusive situations and confidence issues. You can be safe that any contact you make with us and any information shared with us is held in the strictest confidence at all times.

Counselling can help you to cope with difficult situations in your life, whether the challenges are based on past or present issues, it’s never too late for change. Talking to a counsellor can help you to make your thoughts and feelings clearer, empowering you to transform your life.

Some of the reasons people may decide to talk to a counsellor may be –

Grief and loss (bereavement)
Coping with change
Stress
Anxiety
Relationship Issues
Sexual, physical or emotional abuse
Anger management
Low mood
Addictions
People can feel consumed when facing some of the issues above with feeling scared, numb, guilty, tearful, sad, hopeless, worried, irritable and confused.

This can have a small or great impact on their ability to undertake their daily routines, build/preserve relationships, progress in their career and look after themselves.

Whether the impact is small or great, or even somewhere in between, if you feel you would like to make changes in your life, counselling or issue specific workshops may be the right choice for you.

Please see our website for further information about our bespoke workshop programmes and other services we offer to support the emotional well being and improved mental health of our clients.

Training, qualifications & experience

We have a friendly team of professional Counsellors who are passionate about supporting their clients in a therapeutic process to aid personal growth. Our approach to counselling is Humanistic, specifically person-centred. Within this approach we promote the belief that all human beings are experts in their own lives and that changes that are made through increased self-awareness can be lasting transformations, rather than temporary.

Our team of Person-Centred Counsellors are qualified and have years of experience working with various client/ client groups; some of the experience includes counselling in primary schools, secondary schools, community centres, specialist charities and privately with individuals, couples and groups covering a range of issues including low moods, anger management, bereavement, relationship issues, family breakdown, low confidence/self-esteem, addictions, domestic abuse and much more.

Counsellors are placed appropriately with clients, following a referral, according to their specific experience and areas of expertise. All Counsellors are committed to work in line with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) ethical guidelines (or equivalent), of which they will be registered/accredited members, this includes continued professional development (CPD) and counselling supervision.

We also have competent trainee staff members who are passionate and committed also to the counselling process and their client groups. Trainees will always be suitably placed according to their experience and will be studying on a recognised training course. Trainees are members of appropriate professional bodies (i.e. BACP or equivalent) and will also be committed to work in line with their ethical guidelines, including continued professional development and counselling supervision .
