About me

Hello My name is Tracy and I am an experienced Integrative BACP accredited Psychotherapist. Working in private practice with children, parents and adults. I have also worked with Agencies and Charities for many years.

Choosing the right Counsellor is essential for the work to be successful, it will be a unique relationship built on trust. I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation to help you decide if I am the right counsellor for you.

Acknowledging that something doesn’t feel right and making a decision to seek professional help takes courage so I want to congratulate you on taking the first step towards making changes to your life. Sometimes you can feel confused and low and need help and support which is independent from friends and family. You may be struggling in your relationship or be worried about problems at work which are making you feel anxious or stressed. I offer a compassionate and safe space free from judgement.

As an integrative psychotherapist I draw upon a wide range of theories and styles to fit each individual client. At the heart of my work is the client-therapist relationship as I believe this is crucial to the therapeutic process and to the effectiveness of our work. I believe we all have the ability to heal and develop. I provide a warm, confidential safe space where you can bring whatever you need to. We will work together to understand your current way of being, explore how past experiences affect and impact on your current life and develop strategies to increase your self-awareness and promote personal growth.

Working with children in schools and young people and families has helped me to support parents with issues that are causing a huge strain on family life.

I specialise in working with addiction, working with a wide range of issues from addictive drug use to repeated destructive relationships. Helping my clients to develop an awareness and acceptance of difficult thoughts and feelings.

I have a lot of experience of working with victims of Domestic Abuse and I worked for a Counselling Charity for many years working both in refuge and in outreach projects.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
