About me

We are all unique, as is our complex journey through life. At times it can be overwhelming and confusing leaving us anxious, stressed and depressed. We all have the capacity for emotional healing and personal growth but sometimes we need help. Creating a supportive and trusting relationship and a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and feelings without judgment is at the heart of my work. I take a personalised approach using differing therapeutic modalities, as appropriate, so that together we can work towards your personal goals and facilitate meaningful change.

I have successfully supported clients facing issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, grief and self-esteem challenges. I have a particular interest in helping individuals navigate major life changes, including job-loss and retirement. I am trauma informed and support individuals who have suffered through acute or chronic traumatic experiences.

If you feel ready to make the first step in your counselling journey, feel free to get in touch to either schedule a session or a book a short chat to learn more about how we can work together.

I have undertaken many trainings including: Child Protection, Suicide Awareness, Bereavement Awareness, Childhood Trauma & the Brain, Child Sexual Exploitation, Older Adults & Domestic Abuse, Understanding Prescription and OTC Drugs.

NCPS

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society

In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
