I am a BA qualified (Metanoia), BACP registered and CRB checked counsellor with over 20 years' experience in a variety of settings in both the public and private sectors. I offer a nurturing, safe and confidential environment facilitating self-awareness and personal development, allowing my clients to actualize their potential and find their path to a brighter future.
My private practice is Actualize Counselling, which provides counselling for adults and couples.
I am also Director of Services for a nonprofit Community Interest Company - Actualize Wellbeing that is committed to early intervention and affordable counselling for children, young people and families. This service is a subsidised service in order to reduce session costs. We offer play, clay & sand tray therapy and also run therapeutic support groups for families/ carers of children with ASD, eating disorders, self harm & emotional behaviour. I also offer supervision for counsellors and trainee counsellors, and have over 10 years' experience and a counselling supervisor.
My focus is to help individuals heal and grow in self-awareness & inner strength. I achieve this by providing a safe space, listening to your concerns and facilitating self-development by using the appropriate therapeutic approach. I offer Person-Centred Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA), Clay Therapy, Play Therapy and Creative Therapies.
