Hi, my name is Tracy I am an integrative counsellor trained in person-centred counselling and CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) and a qualified supervisor with over 10 years of experience.
This has enabled me to explore several different approaches to therapy. During my time in practice, I have become aware that no single approach works for everyone. I, therefore, work alongside my clients in finding the best approach for each individual client.
We all experience different kinds of challenges in life, and what may be difficult for one person, may not be to another. We must all learn not to judge our experiences by those of others. If you are struggling to manage emotions and thoughts, this is when therapy can help.
As an integrative therapist, I will work with you to explore the most effective way for you to engage in therapy. Through gaining a new understanding of life's issues, this will lead to an increased sense of confidence, a greater sense of control in life, a restored sense of identity, and consequently a fuller, happier life.
Throughout your work with me, confidentiality will be of the highest priority and I will always work toward helping you to feel safe, respected and heard. I will endeavour to be non-judgemental and offer you a supportive relationship in which we can explore the best way forward for you.

Choosing the right therapist can feel like a daunting task. My aim is to work with you to create an environment where you can feel safe and to able talk and where you will be heard and not judged. I have experience of working with a wide range of clients and presentations, including anxiety, depression, psychological trauma, PTSD, addiction, self-harm, sexual and psychological abuse, low self-esteem and stress. I have practiced both as a mental health Counsellor and CBT therapist for MIND and for the RASA. I have extensive experience of working with survivors of sexual violence/abuse. I provide an integrative approach to therapy, adapting my therapeutic work to meet the individual needs of my clients. I am a registered member of the British Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors (BACP) and work within their professional and ethical guidelines.
Sessions and what to expect
The first session provides us with an opportunity to meet and talk through and assess your needs and for you to decide if you will be comfortable working with me. Thereafter it is preferable that we meet on a weekly basis. Each session normally lasts for 50 minutes, I’m able to offer both short-term and long-term work. I understand that taking the first step is not easy and I am happy to talk to you over the phone in the first instance to answer any questions or discuss any concerns you may have.
