Tracy-Ann Clusker DipHE, RMBACP
I am qualified to work with both children and adults and offer a tailored service using different modalities and creative interventions. I also work from a fully equipped playroom for younger clients that can struggle to articulate their feelings. In these situations play is used as a metaphor and a way for the child to express their feelings.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed a Diploma In Higher Education Counselling Children and Young People with Queen Margaret University and in partnership with Simpson House Training in Edinburgh. During training I worked predominantly with young people in the fields of addiction services and with those performing a caring role for a parent or sibling. This allowed me to develop my skills in play led therapy and interacting with young people. Since graduating I have worked predominantly with adults covering all ages and many issues from anxiety to issues around food. I have also completed other pieces of training which include Mental Health First Aid and Applied Suicide Intervention amongst others. I am looking to add to my skillset in the near future with Trauma Skills, Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy amongst others.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I am in no way an expert in any specific field or topic but believe that the power of listening can help anyone. I would consider working with any area of difficulty as often the person may have one presenting issue but many underlying concerns so we would work across all of that.
The Initial meeting is free and should last around half an hour. Sessions are 50 minutes long and priced at £40 per session with discounts available for block bookings.
