Do you want to stop feeling anxious? For many of us life's a constant juggling act with so many sources of anxiety. I know there have certainly been times when I've found myself lying in bed at night worrying about something making it difficult to sleep. However, overtime this anxiety can wear us down making everyday tasks a challenge and leading us to feel depressed.
Whatever the source of your anxiety I can help you feel more confident and in control, helping you to worry less and feel more content.
How I can help.
As a qualified counsellor and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, I can help you to understand what triggers your anxiety and how your thinking and behaviour may be maintaining your difficulties. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy aims to help you deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts. It also aims to help you identify changes that you can make to help you overcome your anxiety so that you can feel more relaxed.
Treatment usually lasts for between 5 and 20 sessions, with each session lasting 30 to 60 minutes. Initially you will be required to attend weekly sessions however as treatment progresses fortnightly sessions may also be considered.
I recognise that it takes a lot of courage to reach out and ask for help. However, if you would like to know more about how I can help please contact me and I would be happy to answer any questions that you have. As well as face to face sessions I also offer telephone and online appointments if this is more convenient.
