About me

My Services

Throughout my work with clients I like the experience to flow through the client working at their pace and understanding of themselves. No one therapy fits all and my clients will experience the most suitable therapy to suit their individual needs. This will be recommended collaboratively together.

Working with Creative Cognitive behavioural therapy opens up different perspectives of experience for example, creative writing, relaxation techniques, mindfulness, use of art materials. This enables the client to explore untapped thoughts feelings and emotions in a therapeutic way.

Traditional CBT is also delivered, which involves a client being responsible for own outcome supported by myself therapeutically. Such as participating in home work and trying out coping strategies at home within their own environment. This produces positive outcomes.

Counselling

Counselling is a talking therapy which is non judgemental and confidential and enables the client to start to unravel past and present difficulties, through dialogue with the therapist. Looking at your world as you see it now, understanding past events which have lead you to your current position. Through talking the client starts to explore their world bringing them a new insight and understanding towards accepting who they are.

I believe everyone is unique and are able to find their own way through difficulties and innately know what they really need to do.

Areas covered by both treatments are -

Anxiety - panic attacks, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, Generalized anxiety disorder, overthinking, procrastinating, sleep problems, irritability, nausea.

Depression - Low motivation, concentration, sleep problems, feeling sad, hopelessness, helpless, low self esteem, feeling tearful, guilt ridden, intolerant, indecisiveness and lack of enjoyment in life.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
