Tracey Rowlands MBACP Accredited Counsellor Psychotherapists /CBT & Supervisor
I am a MBACP Accredited Counsellor with over 13 years’ experience of working with adults of all ages, young people, individuals and couples from a wide range of backgrounds presenting at varying levels of distress, I work with bereavement, relationship problems, work difficulties, stress, anxiety, depression and personal development, bipoplar. I have a special interest in working with Workplace Stress, Anger and Couples Counselling. In addition to my counselling qualifications I am a trained Tavistock relationship therapist and active with workshops for couples..
My private practice is operated from a building specifically converted for the purpose of creating a comfortable, well appointed and relaxing consulting room, which promotes client well-being.
Counselling is a process, a way of facilitating change or of reducing confusion, where you as the client talk about any difficulties you may be struggling with and which could interfere with your day to day life.
Counselling does not usually offer quick or easy solutions, but through active listening and on-going support I believe that emotional pain from the past and the present can be eased and in many cases resolved. This then allows choices to be made, so enabling change.
You with your counsellor come together to discuss and explore problems in a safe and confidential environment, we don't have to go through life suffering and in pain, no matter what we have been through. Through exploration without criticism or judgment we can regain a sense of comfort and peace and let go of our attachment to the past. we don't have to become our story. I have much experience in providing both long and short term Counselling and you can find me on the BACP Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, "GOOD TO TALK".
